It’s a great place to stay while exploring the city, with clean, comfortable rooms, friendly owners and a nice breakfast included. The location is great value all around. One tip about arrival: from the bus or train station, I’d consider taking a taxi or Uber. The B&B is in the upper part of town, so walking there with luggage, or with reduced mobility, may be challenging. Once you arrive, getting around is fine.

The breakfasts were fresh and delicious, and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests. Old Quebec’s streets, restaurants, live music and shopping are all right nearby. We couldn’t have chosen a better location, and our hosts were just perfect. The care and attention to detail inside make the stay feel authentic. A must see. We’ll be back.

We had lunch, quiche and other things, at the owners’ cafe right across the street, which made this first visit to Quebec really memorable. We stayed for two days, and the owner was very kind. The room was quiet and peaceful, and the homemade breakfasts felt warm and comforting, with a different daily menu, either omelette or pudding, plus homemade chocolates for dessert. The hotel has a stylish entrance up the hill from the busy main street, and tourist attractions were easy to reach. If you want the warmth of a family-run business, we highly recommend it 😉 Thank you so much for the two days!

The breakfast was the best we’ve ever had, beautifully presented and delicious, with two options each day. We enjoyed chatting with the owners and other visitors over breakfast. Our room was on the first floor, with two queen beds and a modern bathroom. Inside the old city walls, le Coureur des Bois is just a short walk from the centre of Old Quebec, the Citadelle, the bus station for Montmorency Falls, the Museum of Civilization, restaurants and more. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this Band B again on a return trip.
