The location was great, the room was comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice bonus. The kitchen was functional, though a bit old school, and there was coffee and tea in the lobby. The shower's hot water was inconsistent, and the toilet seemed to be failing. It got a little better after housekeeping came by. When we reported the problem was still happening at checkout, staff said they'd send maintenance right away.

We booked at the last minute just before a holiday and needed a pet-friendly room, paying over $450 a night. Check-in was easy and the staff were nice, but the room wasn't very clean. It smelled fine, yet the carpet had big clumps of white fur and looked dirty enough to make me wonder if it had been vacuumed. I know pet rooms may be lower quality, but they should still be cleaned between guests. The bathroom had only half a roll of toilet paper. At least the shower seemed clean, with good pressure and hot water. The beds were fairly comfortable, not the best but nowhere near the worst. We left early each morning to ride, so I can't say how the hotel breakfast was. The location was very convenient for snowmobiling, and parking our truck and trailer was no problem. The gas station across the street was handy, as was the adjacent Dennys, where we could grab food without unhitching the trailer or hoping to find trailer parking. We didn't make it into town, so I don't know how easy getting around there with a trailer would be. Next time I'd try a different hotel. This was the only option for us, but I wouldn't stay again unless it were significantly cheaper.

We slept amazingly well, thanks to a really comfortable mattress. The staff were warm and friendly, and the room was clean and functional. We were only there for one night and didn't get to use the hot tub, though it looked really nice. Great stay for the price.

The hotel still has great parking for sledders and is close to the gas station, but the quality and service have gone downhill since I used to stay here every time I snowmobiled in Revy. For the same price, I'd now recommend the Northwinds hotel. During my stay at the Sandman this past weekend, nobody came to the front desk for about 20 minutes. I called the number and got no answer. Thinking there might be an issue in the hotel, I waited patiently. Eventually a guy came out from the back office. The room was pretty gross too, with brown drip marks down the wall and unvacuumed carpet.

The people were great, but the experience was garbage. We're checked in for one night right now. The front desk honored our price match with another hotel, which was great, but walking up to our rooms was where things went wrong. There was a foul smell that everyone knows is like dirty cat urine, and huge dirty spots from animal messes down almost the whole hallway. It's a pet-friendly hotel, but pets are put in carpeted areas instead of a designated floor like at most hotels. You can hear dogs barking and doors slamming. I'm a huge animal lover, but this felt like an outhouse. The smells radiate through the hotel and get into your hair and clothes.
