Chalet Four Bears

Awesome place.

The chalet was really well equipped, and the view was magnificent. The bathroom door is a little annoying, though. It doesn't really lock, and even a light push makes it open, so that needs fixing 😅 The location is superb, but anyone renting during a season when snow is possible should be warned about access. With a small front-wheel-drive car, getting there or leaving can be difficult if there's too much snow 🫤

The air conditioning was very powerful, maybe a bit too much, but it became more of a running joke than an actual problem. We rent a cottage every late summer, and this is easily the nicest one we've stayed in. The location is beautiful, the lake is stunningly peaceful, and the cottage is huge and well maintained. We'll definitely be back!

The spot is great, but the cottage is dirty and poorly maintained. The BBQ was disgusting, the deck floor was filthy, and there was food on the dirty placemats. You can imagine what the kitchen mat was like. Part of the dock is broken and sitting in the water. Beer caps were scattered around the property, so don't walk barefoot, and there were cigarette butts all over the place and in the paddleboat too. For this price, renting from this company isn't worth it. Vacation time is precious, and they didn't even send a follow-up email about this after I arrived. I thought they might want to know in case I'd just had bad luck with the cleaning, but their lack of response gave me the impression this is standard practice. Don't get ripped off in 2022!
