We left some things behind and the owners were helpful about getting them back to us the next day. The rooms are older, but freshly renovated and updated, and the inside was very clean. It's quiet, with plenty of parking, in a safe, calm part of Shawinigan. The waterfront is not far, and it's close enough to the national park. I'd gladly stay here whenever I'm in the area. Good hotel-motel, with nice owner-operators.

For an affordable price, we got one of the better rooms on our Quebec tour. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped.

It was busy when we visited, but our room stayed very quiet. The building is probably around 50 years old, though the inside has been thoroughly and tastefully redone, with bigger modern rooms and bathrooms. A good option for La Mauricie or the Shawinigan area, or if you're traveling through toward Saguenay.

It's an old-style motel with a pool, and the rooms were clean and functional. We were given a smoking room, though, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars. I can't believe motels still allow smoking in 2024. Staying in a room like that with kids isn't pleasant.

Check-in was quick and easy, and the price we paid made the dated rooms better than I expected. The beds deserve 5 stars. I slept well.
