Motel Des Deux Lacs Inc

I've never seen a motel this charming. I loved the decor and incredibly comfy bed, and even the hair dryer was better than mine. The toilet had a "sanitized" label, and there were hammocks and chairs in the quaint backyard among the pond and trees. It's 4.5 on 5 for me. The half point is just for having a couple more pillows, though you can't beat the price. Better than a Hilton or Sheraton, and I'll definitely come back. Thanks to Claude for a lovely stay!

A cozy motel with a cabin feel. We stayed two nights for a friend's wedding nearby. The owners were kind and accommodating. We arrived late and worried no one would be there to check us in, but we contacted them beforehand and they were there, so no worries. As you'd expect in a cabin close to a lake, we found some bugs inside, but nothing crazy. We'd definitely return. For a good coffee in the morning, you'll need to go to the Bruûerie Virgin HIl.

I only tried this motel because the good one nearby was full. The staff were unpleasant and petty. When they declined my credit card and I had no other way to pay, they reported it stolen out of spite. I’d rather sleep in my car than come back.

I saw a woman and her 7 years old son get put out of their room in the middle of the night. They’d arrived at 9 om, paid for a full night, and were given a key. About four hours later, the landlord decided they had to leave because the room supposedly wasn’t suitable for children, specifically because the shower was too high for kids to use. Why take their money and hand over a key in the first place? They called the police, but the police said they couldn’t help and that the landlord was always right. In the end, police took them to a nearby hotel that had a room available. The landlord promised to refund half the price.
