The staff helped answer my questions about nearby attractions, and guests also get a discount when eating at the restaurant downstairs. My room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and I slept well during my few nights here. It was affordable, and I enjoyed the stay. I'd recommend it when visiting Squamish.

Alex served us and was helpful and professional. We had the homemade vegetable soup of the day, fish and chips, and the classic burger, and enjoyed everything. The ambiance was wonderful, and the Sky Pilot Pale Ale was good too. In summer, the views and patio should be amazing, so we're looking forward to coming back then. The location feels like a bit of a hidden gem, and it was a lovely visit.

The $30 dinner special came with a lamb shank, which was tender, flavorful, and very good. I would've liked a little more sauce, but it was delicious. We also had the creamy daily soup, a comforting choice for a winter evening. Service was excellent, and our waiter made a great drink recommendation. I had the black ale and really enjoyed it. A very pleasant meal.

I hadn't been to the Inn in a few years, and I hope they can improve things over time. The beer is very good, and staying at the brewery means you can try a few without going anywhere. I had three, I think, and loved them. The building does smell like a brewery, as you'd expect, and I personally like that. The room had old charm mixed with newer touches, like redone old furniture and cast-iron fittings. I loved the little window nook looking over the marina. The bed was comfortable, there were plenty of plugs, and I slept well and woke rested. The AC and heat worked efficiently, though they were a bit loud, which didn't bother me. The location was calm midweek, parking was fairly easy, the front desk was kind and efficient, and the person serving at the bar and restaurant was superb. I was exhausted and hungry between ski days, and glad to have a place to shower, eat, and crash. The shower was the worst part. The head made an extremely high-pitched squeal, loud enough to feel harmful to my ears, like someone blowing a whistle beside me. I've seen this complaint in an older review, so it seems it still hasn't been fixed. I came wanting a good shower, and wouldn't use it again. The thin walls also let neighboring guests wake me when they came in late and again in the morning. There's a quiet-hours policy, at least, and it wasn't a huge problem for me, but lighter sleepers should know. The food was mixed. The beer was great, but my sandwich bun was burnt black in the middle, like charcoal, and that's all I could taste for about two hours afterward. I was starving after a very long day and started eating quickly. When I bit the burnt part, no staff were around, and no one checked in. I could've gone to find the very friendly, helpful waiter, asked for a replacement, and waited while the kitchen remade it, or peeled off the bun and eaten the rest. I was so hungry I wasn't thinking clearly, so I kept eating. Still, after thinking it over, I find it hard to believe someone making that sandwich didn't notice the bun was completely burnt. Serving it felt rude. The hotel has a quiet-hours rule, and the food and beer have good points, but the property needs more attention. I hope they can improve over time.

We stayed December 14-17 in a pet-friendly room at Howe Sound Inn. The view was spectacular, and we enjoyed the good beer at the restaurant downstairs. Those were the main positives. The stay was disappointing otherwise. There was old water left in the Keurig, and someone else's hair clips were on the chair, which made me question the cleaning. The bathroom was tiny. I'm 5'9", 170 lbs, and kept bumping into things even when careful. The toilet paper was awful. Basic amenities were missing too: they couldn't give us toothbrushes or toothpaste at check-in. When we asked the next morning, the toothbrushes were extremely poor quality, and we never got toothpaste. The hotel advertises a sauna, but it wasn't working and no one told us in advance. Expedia listed it as available, so having the main amenity unavailable was frustrating when there are so few to begin with. Breakfast wasn't anything to look forward to. The AC couldn't regulate the temperature, leaving the room too hot or too cold. The TV looked very outdated, the room wasn't especially large, and the thin walls made it easy to hear neighbors. Then the power went out for over two hours, with no meaningful update or solution from the hotel. For a place marketed as a 3-star hotel, having no backup power or contingency plan felt unacceptable. My partner and I still enjoyed the trip because we spent most of our time exploring Squamish and only used the room when necessary. Given the room condition, maintenance, missing amenities, and power outage response, I'd rate the stay no higher than 2-3 stars on Google. I gave it 3 mainly for the view.
