Downtown Executive Suites - Queens Road

We could see Signal Hill from the back balcony, and the shared kitchen we were allowed to use was really nice and well stocked with appliances. Our own room had a mini fridge, air conditioning and the usual hotel-room amenities. It was clean and comfortable, and the bed was comfortable too. The owners were great. After everyone had checked out, they let us see the penthouse suite, which was absolutely amazing!

I loved the view from the upstairs living room, and the penthouse had a beautiful harbour view. The only extra that could've made it better was an iceberg in the harbour. My girlfriends and I stayed for two days and wished we could've stayed longer. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and fully equipped, with a hot tub and sauna. Three bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms, so there was room for privacy, and the dining room worked well for a large group. It's also an easy walk to the downtown waterfront. I'll definitely rent it again.

We spent five days here with family and really enjoyed the suite. The management was obliging and ready to do what they could to make the stay perfect, and I'd highly recommend the place. Every room seemed thoughtfully decorated, and the kitchen had everything we could need. From the kitchen, the panoramic view takes in St John's City, Signal Hill and the Narrows. Sitting there with morning coffee was so peaceful. The adjacent sunroom gives a 180-degree view of the city. This five-bedroom penthouse suite at 29 Queens Road, St John's also has a hot tub, sauna, surround sound, flat-screen TVs in all the bedrooms, and even a Scrabble game.

Our unit was dirty when we arrived, with unswept floors and unwashed dishes. The other guests were consistently very loud, including one guest's dog barking whenever anyone came or went. There were parties every weekend, and the single Wi-Fi network shared among multiple guests was impossible to use. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
