We were so glad we chose this as a place to rest after our wedding. Cindy and John really care about the guest experience, and their service was wonderful. They were generous about sharing what they know of Newfoundland culture, which made it nice to learn about the place from people who live there. The beautiful building has a lot of history, too. Cindy’s toutons and the other homemade breakfast treats were so good that we didn’t want to eat elsewhere. The location was great as well, with an easy walk downtown to the attractions we wanted to see. Highly recommend staying here.

We hardly needed to drive in St. John’s. From the inn we walked to town, restaurants, museums and lots more. The location made getting around easy, and after each day we returned to a quiet, comfortable room. Breakfast every morning was fantastic, especially the homemade jams. We spent four nights here with Cindy and John while travelling around Newfoundland, and they made a real difference to our trip. Cindy sent useful local suggestions as soon as we booked, which helped us plan the rest of the journey. When we arrived, they gave us restaurant and sightseeing tips, and every one turned out to be a hit. They’re truly excellent hosts and made the trip so much fun.

I felt so well looked after at breakfast, with homemade jams and baked goods. The room and bathroom were clean and really comfortable. Cindy and John, the owners, were so kind and welcoming. What a gem of a place, I’m lucky I found it. I’d highly recommend it.

Cindy and John made the biggest impression on us. They were attentive and generous, and so kind and welcoming. We also loved the delicious made-to-order breakfast each day, the immaculate room, and being able to walk to almost everything we needed. The story behind the property added to the stay. If I could give it an extra star, I would. We hope to return soon!
