Chalets Alpins -09 Chemin Alpin

We had a superb weekend at 4 Chemin Blanc des Chalets Alpins. The chalet was well equipped and in a fantastic spot, and our hot tub was private. The chalets are packed close together, though, so from the living and dining rooms we could see right into our neighbours' hot tubs. I imagine that felt awkward for them. If I return, I'll choose the chalet carefully! Still, it was a great experience. 😉

We went as a family of 10 for three days over the July 1st, 2023 weekend. The chalet was magnificent, in a superb location, and very clean and tidy despite a few small issues that were already there. We had read reviews warning about excessive penalties for minor things, but our stay went smoothly. I understand the owners want to prevent early wear and tear from the excesses that can come with wild parties. Still, the many clear warnings keep bringing hefty, arbitrary fines to mind. Those constant implied threats make the atmosphere feel oppressive and cast a shadow over what otherwise deserves five stars.

It was quiet and well maintained, and someone came quickly to fix an appliance when we had a problem. The kitchen chairs could be more comfortable.

The bedrooms weren’t especially cozy or impressive, but you don’t spend your time living in them. The chalet itself was incredible, with a spa, Wi-Fi, a full kitchen and even a little fireplace.
