Noretta Motel

The front desk lady was very sweet and helpful. The rates are decent, and although the place looks a little run down from outside, the rooms are cleaner and nicer than you'd expect. You can't control the heat from your room, though. I was told the housekeeper is elderly and sometimes forgets things, like the alarm clock that went off at 1 am. Maybe I should've checked it myself, but I don't stay in hotels or motels often.

I went in with low expectations and was totally mistaken. The rooms are clean, air-conditioned, and have Wi-Fi, plus there's a lovely courtyard to unwind in after a long day. Being tall, I found the little bathroom and shower a bit awkward. Some people seem to have issues with management, but we didn't. It's not a four-star hotel, of course, but for the price I was pleasantly surprised.

I stayed here last year and have booked again for this year. It seems to have been renovated recently, maybe in the last two years, and everything looked new and clean. The bathroom was small but sufficient, clean, and newly redone. I went next door for coffee without realizing the office had coffee, muffins, and donuts. I'd bring my own pillow, though, as another reviewer suggested.

The owners are really nice, and they keep a close eye on the grounds, which are well maintained and feel safe. They also have a dog called "Prince." You'll understand the name when you see him, he's one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen, absolutely stunning. If he ever has puppies, I want first pick...
