The suite was spacious and clean, with a central location and a nice big bathtub, but we won’t be rushing back. The website’s first picture is of city hall, although guests don’t stay there, and it doesn’t show the actual building. For check-in, we were told to pick up keys in a basement lounge, but the building was closed when we arrived. We called the number we’d been given and were redirected to a pub across town. We’d been told texting was the preferred way to contact them, but got no text reply. When we reached the room, the door was standing wide open, so anyone else with a building key could have walked in. There was no AC, and the room must have been over thirty degrees. The windows didn’t open, either.

The only real issue was a natural gas smell. There’s a restaurant on the basement floor, so I’m guessing it came from there. Otherwise, we’d definitely stay again. My wife and I were in Stratford for a show, Chicago, which was excellent, and stayed one night. Room #201 was huge and well appointed, and the bed was comfortable, though not a do-not-disturb kind of mattress. Thank you!

We had a great stay and will definitely come back to see Stratford in the summer. My husband and I were there on a Sunday for Rockwell Lounge’s “Posh Nosh” evening. Check-in was anytime after 3pm. We arrived just before 4, found the building locked, but friendly staff opened up and gave us the suite keys. Parking behind the building was handy on a snowy day. Our room was on the third floor. There’s no elevator, but the couple of flights of stairs were manageable. The room was beautiful, very spacious, and had a relaxed feel. It came with a large fridge, tabletop element, kettle, French press, and small sink, plus a coffee table, comfy couch, high-top table and two chairs. The bed was comfortable, though I would’ve liked sturdier pillows. The bathroom felt chic and modern, with a neat black sink, wood countertop and plumbing pipes for legs. There was also a TV where you could log in to a streaming service. Rockwell Suites is behind City Hall, across from Rheo Thompson’s, and just a stone’s throw from theatres and pubs or breweries. We went to The Hub and Heritage Hops Brewery. Revel, a nearby coffee shop, had delicious croissants. Checking out was easy: we left our keys on the coffee table and headed out.

Getting checked in took a little figuring out, since it’s not the usual process. I had to call someone to get the check-in details, but she was really friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and spacious, with a large bathtub and very comfortable beds. The location is great, right near lots of places. I’d totally stay here again.

The room was large, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was good. The TV worked well and check-in was pretty straightforward. Parking could be tricky if the lot behind the building is full.
