Pinnacle Lodge

This is our favorite place in Sun Peaks for little family getaways. We’re not big skiers, so we usually come in the off-season when it’s quiet. It has a casual, make-yourself-at-home feel rather than a traditional hotel vibe. There are two dining areas with cooking supplies, plus morning coffee and light breakfast snacks. The kids’ play area is cute, and you can borrow board games and puzzles. We also love the hot tub. Since we come off-season, we’ve had it all to ourselves in the evening.

Pinnacle Lodge is ideally located by the 9th hole of the golf course, and an easy walk from the village, restaurants, stores, market and chair lifts. Karen and the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we loved our week there. A warm breakfast was available every morning, with coffee, tea, muffins and fruit left out all day. Having a mini fridge in the room for our water and leftovers was handy. We’ll definitely be back!

The shared spaces helped make our stay relaxing, especially the games area, sauna, and hot tub. Our room was spacious and clean, and the view was lovely. Breakfast was nice, and the location worked well for us. We stayed two nights. Richard, the manager, was very personable and gave us helpful guidance. The only issue was a slow shower that probably needs replacing.

We were already calling this our best vacation by the first day, and we're eager to come back. From my first phone call with Pinnacle until we drove away, the experience was wonderful. Richard and the rest of the staff were friendly, helpful, and full of useful information. Since it was our first off-season visit to Sun Peak, we weren't sure what to do, but they gave us lots of suggestions that helped shape the trip we wanted. Breakfast was better than meals I've had at many restaurants or at home. I only wish I'd had a chance to eat more of it. It felt like a movie set, and it was great for the whole family.
