Motel Au Vieux Frontenac

I called with a few questions and was hung up on after asking whether anyone spoke English. Sorry, I don’t speak French. That was really rude and a terrible way to lose business.

Even though I’d booked the wrong date by mistake while we were stuck in traffic outside Quebec City, the staff greeted us kindly and found us a room. Luckily, one was available, and they gave us a discounted two bed room instead of the one bed room I’d booked. We’d chosen Motel au Vieux Frontenac on my phone while on the road, and arrived thinking everything was sorted. Nice rooms, great service, and an excellent stay. Recommended.

The sign said No Vacancy, but they still had two rooms for us. The room seemed so recently renovated that I wondered if I was the first person to use it, though maybe it was simply impeccably clean. Restaurant delivery was easy, and the price was good. Just stay here.

We only spent one night here, but it was comfortable enough that we could easily have stayed longer. That’s not something I can say about most motels. Everything felt and smelled clean, from the bathroom to the bed sheets. One of the cleanest motel-style places we’ve stayed in.
