Balm Beach Resort & Motel

The rooms were very clean, and the owner was on site and helpful when needed. There’s a big beach right out front, plus a tucked-away sunset beach. On the motel grounds you’ll find outdoor seating, BBQs, picnic tables, shuffleboard, a volleyball net, and a fireplace. Restaurants and a bar with entertainment are across the street, and the Thursday night band draws hundreds of people.

It’s a great beach, but spending the whole day means paying a lot for parking, and the men’s washroom isn’t in good shape. The local government should invest more to keep the place organized and clean for visitors.

The location worked so well for a family trip. The beach, arcade, and a few restaurants are just steps away, and there’s a park within walking distance. If you pick up groceries before arriving, you could stay put the whole time. Our room was small, but had what we needed, was very clean, and had a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The grounds were tidy too, with a gas BBQ, picnic tables, and a badminton net the kids loved. Mark was kind and helpful. We had a great long weekend at Balm Beach Resort, enjoyed the lovely sunsets from the beach behind the changerooms, and would come back.

Right across from the water, Balm Beach Resort puts you right in the middle of everything at Balm Beach. It’s a lovely summer getaway, with spotless rooms and a property that’s clearly well cared for. Mark and the team have done a great job. I’ll definitely be back next year.
