I just finished my first term living here, and honestly, I don't understand why people hate it. Some concerns people bring up have valid reasons behind them, some get an email WELL in advance, like fire alarm testing, and some are just plain false. The staff I've interacted with have been professional and nice. Closures and tests are announced, so I know they're happening, and the residence is generally what I expected when I moved in. The price is a little steep, and there are a few small things in my dorm that could be fixed, but with some common sense, it all makes sense.

The quiet paths around Seneca Recidence, with the trees, squirrels, and sunny evenings, made our time there feel special. We stayed for a while in August 2025, and the place was clean and the staff were so helpful. It turned into an unforgettable Canadian holiday for us. Thanks to everyone at Seneca for making it such a good stay 🧡❤️

I honestly can’t wait to leave. The staff are rude, and they’ve come into my room without consent, kicked out my guest, and yelled at my door at 1 am. Living here has been awful: things don’t work, including the AC during heat warnings and the garbage chutes when people are moving out. There are constant power shutdowns, the water gets cut off, and the fire alarm goes off at 4 am. It’s as if they think they can treat students however they want. If you’re considering this residence, I’d pass. I could go on about how this is one of the worst organizations I’ve dealt with.

They ignore complaints, whether it’s about noise or unpleasant roommates, and nothing seems to get resolved. The heat has also been a problem twice over the summer. During a heat wave, the AC had mechanical issues, and the response was ridiculous. We were sweltering and struggling to breathe, but they didn’t offer fans or anything. Then, in the middle of September, they switched the building from AC to heat while it was still quite warm. Who turns on the heat before the weather has even changed? I’m convinced the whole staff lacks competence and common sense.

Rana Behzadi was one of several people at this residence who made my experience terrible. She’s very hard to communicate with, and whatever employee training is offered needs work. The place is run by students who don’t seem to know what they’re doing, and it isn’t maintained. They charged me for damage that was already there before I moved in. It’s an unprofessional, terrible residence. If you can commute instead, that’s 10000000% more worthwhile.
