Florencia Bay Hideaway

We stayed in the willowbrae cottage for my daughter’s wedding. It sleeps 6, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a pull-out bed in the living room. The beds were nice, and there’s a hot tub and a large back deck, all in a lovely wooded area. It was very comfortable and roomy, and the staff were helpful when we needed them. We had three elderly people with us, though, and the stairs up to the bedrooms were a lot for them. We’d definitely come back.

The Florencia Cottage at FBR was cozy, beautifully designed and wonderfully private, with deer appearing right outside the window every day. After hiking and surfing, the hot tub tucked into the woods was fantastic. It’s a short drive to Ucluelet, but note that the website’s distances are inaccurate: Florencia Bay is definitely not walkable, and Tofino is quite far away. We’ll still be back. We’d suggest adding board games and a dehumidifier, since the towels don’t dry properly.

We loved having a quiet porch to unwind on after a full day out. This private getaway is a beautifully made cabin with everything we needed and more, including a fireplace, a huge copper tub you can stretch out in, and a hot tub tucked away in the woods. It’s close to Ucluelet and Tofino, and a ten minute walk to the Florencia and Halfmoon Bay trail head. The hike is well worth it for the beautiful sunset. We loved our stay.

We spent four nights in the copper cabin for a birthday. It was cozy and romantic, and pet friendly too. Our two pups loved snuggling by the fire. Highly recommend!
