Hotel Willo (formerly YWCA Hotel Vancouver)

A cute, clean boutique-style place with a comfortable bed and a room that suited us perfectly. The kitchen is handy and well set up, and the staff were a pleasure to talk to. Lots of restaurants and attractions nearby too. Really enjoyed my stay, thank you Hotel Willo.

The location felt safe, the rooms were very clean, and the staff were all so nice, including the cleaning and maintenance staff. At first it can be a little confusing to find your room, the kitchen, and the shared spaces, but after going around once or twice it's pretty straightforward. I never had trouble getting the elevator or waiting for it. I enjoyed my stay while traveling in Vancouver.

The room wasn't anything special for the total price. My colleague booked one with a single bathroom shared by the whole floor, and we paid an extra $100 a night to upgrade to a private bathroom. If privacy matters to you, make sure you book a room with its own bathroom.

The location was amazing, the front desk staff were friendly, and this was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. My room had a shared bathroom down the hall. Over six days it was occupied only two or three times, so I just waited a minute or two or used the bathroom on another floor. I'd stay again, though hopefully next time with a bathroom in the room.
