The location made it easy to walk to many of the places we planned to visit, and overall the Rosedale was good value for its location. The amenities felt average. We booked two suites for two nights for our family of seven, and there was enough room to move things around in one suite and play board games. We used both suites for our group, though. We arrived after a long travel day expecting toiletries because they were advertised, but there was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner in the room. When I asked at the desk, they said each item would cost $1. I checked whether that was right because we had booked with those amenities in mind. The tiny shampoo and conditioner bottles I was charged for felt pretty silly. I attached photos and video of the condensation covering the window sills, plus the bottles and an amenities screenshot so other travelers know. I'd also seen reviews mentioning a second-floor breakfast buffet, but nobody told us about one at check-in, and I'm still not sure whether it's included.

The bedroom is separate from the living area and has a window with a nice city view. At night, noise from the nearby hallway doors can carry, but the bedroom sits farther inside the suite, so I could relax without much disturbance. I recently returned to Rosedale on Robson and found the suite had been updated since my last visit. The living room felt fresh and modern, with a comfortable couch, bright red cushions, and tasteful artwork. There's a bathroom and then a kitchen counter area, with the needed tools, dishes, and utensils neatly kept in drawers and cabinets. It seems well suited to a longer stay. The layout is practical, and it's a comfortable, convenient place in downtown Vancouver.

The bedroom has its own door, which was handy, and the kids had a pullout couch. It was quiet and in a decent spot near the arenas, science centre, yaletown, and Granville Island. The pool was tiny and cool, and the sauna was cold while the steam room had drainage issues. Those rooms didn't seem to be working properly.

The hotel was well placed for our two-day stay, with Canucks arena just a five-minute walk away. One small suggestion: provide a little bottle of cooking oil, so vacationers cooking a few meals don't have to buy a big bottle.

Getting around was easy the whole stay. We used public transit to see Gastown and its Steam Clock, Stanley Park, and North Vancouver by SeaBus for Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge. A senior Compass day pass was $9.05 CAD and covered the area. Rosedale Condominiums is also easy to reach from YVR on SkyTrain, with plenty to do within a short walk. We stayed in a two-bedroom condo from 4/22 to 4/25. The staff were super friendly, and restaurants, BC Place, and transit were close by. We had lunch at Original Joe's on the property, and both the food and attentive service were great. A couple blocks away, The Post has Starbucks and Lee's Donuts on the first floor and Loblaws City Market upstairs, a huge market with a canteen and lots of meal choices.
