The bathroom floor sloped, and the room was so cramped that cobwebs got in my hair. The whole cabin was full of them, and the shower was too tiny for my husband to stand under. We booked two cabins based on the website photos, but ours had no heat and was freezing. The baseboard heater sat right behind the bed, which seemed like a serious fire risk even if it worked. There were cords everywhere, the second bedroom's heater was open, and the door was damaged enough that we couldn't lock it with the deadbolt. We weren't willing to stay with our family under those conditions, especially with small children, and we got no refund. They told us to contact management; we did, but never heard back. My sister's cabin also had a propane leak that made her son sick right away, so they left for their health and safety and weren't refunded either. I can't see how this place would pass a safety inspection. If you're after a rustic stay, this isn't it.

We had dinner at the restaurant, and they handled my food allergies well. The meal was delicious, and everyone on staff was really friendly. We stayed in one of the renovated cabins, number 11 or 12, and it was quiet and comfortable in a beautiful spot. We also walked the gorgeous trail. It was just one night this time, but we'll definitely come back. The new owners are doing a great job, and we're looking forward to another visit.

The setting is lovely, though it's about 45 minutes from the nearest stores or restaurants. The generator ran nearly constantly, only around 30 feet from our cabin, and really spoiled the atmosphere. I understand it may be the power source, but it should be placed somewhere less disruptive. Our cabin was small and rustic but still enjoyable, though there were maintenance problems that needed attention, like a piece of wood with nails sticking out left on top of the kitchen fridge. The restaurant was closed, and the promised breakfast choices weren't available, other than coffee. A Powerade from the cooler cost $4.80.

We paid $324 CAD for one night, then left early and drove to Radium Hot Springs to find breakfast. The restaurant was closed, and there wasn't anywhere nearby for dinner, breakfast, or even coffee. A dog was tied beside the lodge and barked whenever you came within 20 metres. Our cabin was dusty and run-down, and the whole place felt abandoned. It seems like this might once have been a wonderful place. Maybe it will be again.

We were given free food and drinks, and the staff were very understanding, which was nice. The cabin itself is just a basic wooden one, with no TV, coffee machine, cell service, or included breakfast. There aren't any other facilities, and the restaurant wasn't open in the afternoon. If you arrive expecting dinner, you're on your own. It's very close to the river, but still not worth the price, sorry.
