Glacier Lodge - Luxury Condo

The staff were lovely and as helpful as they could be, which was the one saving grace. We didn’t realize until arriving that the units are all individually owned, so you’re taking a chance on how well each owner cleans and updates their suite. This really isn’t four-star accommodation, and I’d give it zero stars if I could. Stay away from unit 235: it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and felt very unclean, with very old furniture and appliances, a bathroom counter coming apart, and a cracked window. And then there was the little friend we spotted in the bathroom, shown in the picture. Walking down the hall, we saw other units that looked beautiful, clean, and well kept, so that explains some of the higher ratings.

The village is about a 10-minute walk away, and the location is great. The pillows were just adequate, not good, and the bathroom fan was incredibly loud and annoying, maybe it had a bent blade.

Watch out for a possible scam. This particular Lodge is owned by private individuals, and it seems their site may have been hacked. I booked through the website, but when I arrived at reception on the day, there was no booking under my name. The receptionist said I was the second or third person that day with the same problem, and they already had almost 20 reports about it, though apparently no action had been taken. I reported it to the BC police non-emergency fraud department. Please make sure everything is legitimate when booking here, or avoid it if you don’t want to take the risk.

We could walk everywhere, and the area was pleasant. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen. The front desk staff were so welcoming and lovely when we arrived. Shoutout to Jason, who answered all our questions. Definitely recommend.
