Terry and Ann are amazing, and you’d be very lucky to stay here. It was quiet, the bed was heavenly, and Ann is a wonderful cook. A+++.

The breakfast was creative, but there wasn’t much of it. It felt like a way to save money. Usually toast comes with a meal, and an egg on its own isn’t the meal. The bathrooms are shared, which wasn’t an issue, but the lower bathroom toilet faces a mirror. While I was using it, I noticed Ann, the owner, looking into the mirror at me three times. It was creepy. You were watering the garden only a couple of feet behind me, next to the “do not close curtains” sign, looking into the mirror you put there. I feel sorry for you. The bathroom door doesn’t face the toilet, and you know that.

Our host didn’t show up at check-in, and we were locked out of the accommodation. Hours later, she texted that she’d been out on the water for the day and thought she had left the door open. By then, we’d scrambled to make other plans. We’d never consider booking here again. Please read the reviews carefully before reserving; I wish we had. Do yourself a favour and check the Tripadvisor reviews before booking this B & B.
