Mountainside Lodge

We made good use of the kitchen, which had the basics, and really liked having a dining table. Our loft was cozy, and the sauna was a treat after a tiring day. It was only a 3-4 minute walk to the lift, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. There were some fun activities for kids too, making this a great family hotel.

The pool and hot tub were just the right temperature for October, and the staff were great with my kids. We had a kitchenette in our loft, so we could make most of our own meals. A few things need maintenance or updating: the bathroom sinks are worn, one chair was broken, and some tiles were loose. That's why I can't give it five stars, though it was a lovely place for our family vacation.

The rooms are okay, but it's always so cold inside. Single-pane windows with baseboard heating make for a terrible combination, though I imagine it might be great in summer. Update: the walls are incredibly thin, so you'll keep hearing the neighbors if they're even moderately loud.

Michelle at the front desk looked after us so well. She was friendly, fantastic with our four-year-old, and gave us great service. We also had an easy time getting to the parking, and the location was excellent. The room was a little dated, but clean and comfortable, with a nice view. The kids loved the pool and hot tub.
