We love our timeshare, and the location in the village is perfect. Whiskijack seems to be making much-needed upgrades without putting too much strain on our budget. When we had a problem with something in the condo, though, the service and communication were disappointing. We called twice, waited three days without a response, and finally emailed the main branch on the fourth day before anyone came to fix it. Not good.

Good washrooms and a convenient location, if you don’t mind being right in the middle of the noise. That was about all I liked. The unit was run down and smelled odd. The carpet was old, filthy, and dark brown throughout, the furniture was worn, the couch had stains, and the window coverings were falling apart. Our kids didn’t even want to walk around or sleep in the beds. Their beds had bed bugs, and management didn’t address it or take responsibility. The mattresses were very old. There’s no air conditioning anywhere in the building. With the windows open it was noisy, there were only a few old fans, and the noise went on until 4am. There’s no check-in desk, so you’re mostly on your own. When something goes wrong, they send repair people and leave you to deal with them. We booked one of the larger units with a hot tub, but it didn’t work during our stay. The water was dirty, and the repair person they sent couldn’t fix it. Other guests had reported the same problem in reviews, but it still hadn’t been resolved. For the same price, I’d choose a hotel. There are lots nearby. Don’t be fooled by the resort’s photos.

It felt like a home away from home in the middle of everything. The location was amazing for a winter ski trip, close to restaurants and near enough to the lifts. The rooms are fantastic, with around 1,200 square feet, much more space than a standard hotel room. There’s a full kitchen and grocery stores nearby, and the shared laundry is included. The dual-headed shower with its steam option was wonderful, the private hot tub was a nice perk, and the master bed mattress was comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. They’re remote, but will send someone down if there’s an issue.

We enjoyed our stay in unit 201/301, a spacious two-bedroom place with a loft and private hot tub that had plenty of room for eight adults. It’s right in the village, and the kitchen was well equipped. A couple of small things detracted from the visit: there was no blanket for the pullout bed, though the nights weren’t cold, and the oven seemed a bit weak. The hot tub was difficult to use, and we wished it came with instructions. We were concerned to find the third-floor door open when we arrived. At checkout, we learned there’s public access into the building from the lot near blue shore financial, which undermines the coded entry. Even so, we had an enjoyable stay.

We first stayed here last year and liked it enough to return. Making the reservation was quick and easy. During COVID-19, we didn’t have to collect the room key from the mail office, so getting into the suite was easier than the first time. The room was clean and warm, with plenty of towels and blankets, and the kitchen was fully stocked. The hot tub was out of order. We called the front desk, and security asked them to call us back. It took until the next day to get it fixed, and we didn’t receive a credit. Even after the repair, the jets still weren’t very strong. We hope to come back.
