It was convenient to walk to many restaurants from the hotel, which helped since the parking lot was tiny. We managed to get a spot, but didn't want to risk moving the car because there were so few spaces. The room looked updated, though the work seemed poorly done. The hallway and our ground floor room had visibly uneven floors, and the bathroom wallpaper was peeling. The bed was comfortable and seemed clean. The place looked clean overall, but some spots had been missed, which made me wonder about less visible high-touch areas like handles and remotes. The walls and ceiling were paper thin, and during our 15 hour stay we heard talking, snoring, and what sounded like furniture being slid around. It was okay for one night, but at that price I expected near perfection. I wouldn't recommend it, though I wouldn't put anyone off staying either.

The rooms at The Sternwheeler Hotel were spacious and clean, and it was SO quiet. The staff were also friendly and extremely accommodating. I had a great stay and will definitely come back on future trips to Whitehorse.

The team at The Sternwheeler Hotel & Conference Centre supported us throughout, responding professionally and helping everything run smoothly. We’re grateful for the care they showed and would gladly recommend the venue for events.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the desk staff friendly. Housekeeping was especially thorough. We saw staff cleaning rooms on our floor after guests checked out. The restaurant was just okay, and its staff seemed a bit scattered and inexperienced. What brought this down to three stars was seeing someone drunk and asleep in a lobby chair right in front of the desk on two occasions. Other staff seemed to pretend he wasn’t there. He was likely harmless, but I don’t think a hotel should allow that.

We found the rooms clean and cozy, and they looked like they’d been renovated. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, and the snacks there were reasonably priced. The location is fantastic for getting around Whitehorse, with everything we needed within walking distance. I’d happily come back.
