Humphry Inn & Suites

I mainly needed the room to sleep, but on both days I came back after 4 p.m. and it still hadn’t been made up. The location is very convenient, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself feels past its prime, though. Rooms and shared areas are dated, and breakfast was very basic. This was my first trip to Winnipeg, for a show, and I wanted somewhere fairly central. From the reviews, this seemed like a reasonable budget option. You get what you pay for, and I probably wouldn’t choose it again.

I had a good stay, and the room was clean and organized. Still, I was disappointed by the parking charge. This was the first time I’ve ever had to pay for parking at a hotel, and I feel it should be free for guests as part of customer service. Management should look at this to improve the guest experience and bring more people through the door. It would also have been nice to have water bottles in the room.

For a short stay in downtown Winnipeg, it was perfectly okay. Humphry Inn & Suites is family-run, central, functional, and reliable, especially if you’re travelling by rail. It isn’t fancy, and the decor is dated, with an average breakfast, but the service, convenience, and practical amenities make up for that. I stayed in May 2025. A problem with the online booking website caused an issue with my reservation, but Jyoti at the front desk and her coworker helped me sort it out quickly. They were patient, friendly, and really went out of their way. They made a stressful situation easy to handle, and the customer service was excellent. Thank you both. I highly recommend the staff at Humphry Inn.
