They were very friendly and helpful, offering route suggestions and useful tips based on the current weather at water level. That came in handy since I’d only spent leisure time on small lakes. The bay was also a nice spot to get away from the mosquitoes for a bit. If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend spending some time on the water.

The owners were knowledgeable and really helpful, and you can rent canoes or kayaks there. The rooms were clean, with a shared kitchen, living space, and bathrooms. It’s right on the water in Old Town and was the most reasonably priced B&B I found in Yellowknife.

We only rented their kayaks for the day and didn’t stay in the B&B. The service was good.
