The staff are very cordial, and I liked the halal food, spacious rooms and easy access to the hotel. But at $192 a night, I thought it was expensive for the overall quality. The furniture is old and the place needs renovation. The food seemed precooked and reheated, and for around €20-25 a meal I expected it to be freshly cooked.

I still remember working with a Ghanaian friend in an air-conditioned room with a lovely view over the city. GHS Hotel is one of the most luxurious places in the city center.

I often stay at GHS when I'm in Braza. It's handy for a few days, with large rooms and enough comfort, though facilities are minimal. I'd call it a business hotel. The food isn't great, but that's true across the city.

No gym or swimming pool. The rooms are big, but the old furniture is scattered around, and they give you a kettle with no tea bags, spoon or sugar, as if you're meant to drink hot water. The Wi-Fi didn't work in my room. I called reception and was told someone would come in a few minutes, but he showed up four hours later while I was asleep, knocked and woke me. He came in, then said, "Oh, sorry sir, I can't fix it, the maintenance ain't here." I wondered why he'd come at all. I couldn't even call it a hotel.

The food was amazing, the service was really good, and the people were nice. Nice hotel and price, with an extraordinary golden vibe. Wish I'd stayed longer.
