The woman at reception really went out of her way to help us and understood our situation. She offered us a cheaper stay in the guest house next to the hotel until the storm passed, and thanks to her we could continue our trip without any major trouble. We were bikepacking from Milan through Switzerland when the weather turned really bad near the Gotthard Pass, so we had to wait there until the snow stopped. The rooms were comfortable, the food was tasty, and the prices were fair, though they were hard for us because we were used to much lower prices in Croatia. I recommend this place! ❤️

They were really kind and accommodating when I told them I was heading out on the next flight from Switzerland to recover. I had an accident while on my hike and had to leave before staying there, but they let me cancel. I hope I can come back someday.

At 2100m, this old medieval Ospizia turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The food and the warm Ticino welcome were lovely. What more could you expect from a 4* refuge?

The dorm is in a separate building nearby, and I stayed there with some friends. It was very clean and tidy, with hot water. The restaurant was nice for dinner and breakfast was very good. A great base for exploring the Gotthard region, especially with the highly recommended hiking trail through the lakes.
