Central Home Apartments

The apartment itself was spacious and good. I stayed one day for work near the end of March 2018, then another day privately with family. Unfortunately, the toilet flush in the large apartment #30 seemed to have a recurring problem. The worker who eventually fixed it said the drain pipe isn’t smooth, so paper can stick if you use too much. The guests before us had flooded the lower bathroom with excrement. Housekeeping, who were very friendly and competent, were still airing it out and cleaning when we arrived. That sort of thing can happen, and I don’t blame the property for it, but the pumping and cleaning noise continued until 9:30 p.m. and spoiled half our evening. There was also considerable noise outside until at least 11:30 p.m., with young people gathering in front of the building to party with Bluetooth speakers. We tried to reach Airstay afterward to discuss a small compensation or discount on a future stay, but hadn’t managed to get through. Nobody seemed available by phone, so we suspected we might have been blacklisted and that they were avoiding us. The blacklist suspicion turned out not to be true, as the update below explains, and it may simply have been overload. I still hadn’t received a receipt for the stay. They charged the full amount to my company card even though I’d asked for a split bill, half corporate, and didn’t provide any bill or receipt. I emailed again five days ago and still had no reply, which isn’t good for business travel. An update said they’d look into it. American Express Travel had blacklisted this apartment provider, though Amex couldn’t tell me why in advance. After my experience, their difficulty reaching them seemed like it might be the reason. Update: The owner finally contacted me by email before I posted this. Fortunately, there were no bad intentions. We’d tried calling at different business hours and always got the same result, so send more emails instead of calling.
