We booked at the last minute after a foot injury forced us to cut our Via Alpina hike short. The manager and staff were incredibly kind and helpful. It’s a lovely, modern, quiet hotel right in the city centre. Our room looked out over a peaceful pedestrian street, with fresh decor, a very comfy bed, and a good hot shower. There are tea and coffee facilities on every floor. Breakfast was fantastic at the sister hotel a few metres up the street. I’d definitely return.

The employees were kind and accommodating, and the breakfast had an excellent range of options. I had a pleasant stay at the Reiser.

I’d happily stay here again. The hotel is in Altdorf’s old town, and the room was nicely furnished with everything I needed. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. There’s a large parking lot just 50 metres away, which is super convenient. 😊

Breakfast and reception are at the Golden Schlussel Hotel, about 30 metres away, and parking is available there too. The hotel itself was clean and seemed recently renovated. Some rooms face the main road, so sleeping with the window open can be difficult, though shutting it keeps the noise out. You can hear upstairs neighbours through the wooden floors.

The staff deserve a special mention. They welcomed us so warmly, and when we left some things behind, they sent them straight to us in Germany. Thank you! The hotel is lovely, newly renovated, and right in the heart of Altdorf.
