Andrea looked after us so well, and breakfast was lovely. The rooms were clean and simple, just as described on the website. The location is hard to beat in Andermatt: close to the lifts, and you can ski right back to the boot room.

I was stranded with car trouble and came in at 07:00 hoping for a much-needed coffee while I waited for a mechanic or garage to open. The waitress was very helpful and let me know the garage attached to the building opened at 07:30. There’s a good menu, and with the ski lifts right across from it, I can see this being a popular place. The views and coffee were great, parking and WiFi were free, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

The restaurant's spicy roast chicken is worth a try. The hotel is relatively inexpensive, with friendly, helpful staff, and it's only a short stroll into the town centre. I’d stay here again. It was also featured in the James bond film Goldfinger.

We finished the Gurschen hike, which starts and ends just behind the restaurant, with grilled sausages and beer on the outdoor terrace. The mountain view made it a perfect spot to wind down. The staff were kind and attentive :)

After Oberalpass, this is a good place to stay in the Andermatt region of Switzerland. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are neat, and breakfast is included in the booking. There's private parking as part of the booking, and the WiFi is sophisticated. You also get a good view of the gothard pass, and the gothard tunnel is easy to reach.
