The balconies overlooking the garden were our favorite spot for meals and relaxing, and the views from every window were breathtaking. Chalet Grouse also had plenty of space for the four adults and our dogs to unwind together. We've rented places around Europe and North America for decades, and this is one of the very best we've stayed in. It was spotless, well maintained, and had all the amenities we needed, including games and movies from the thoughtful host. Ayer in the Val d’Anniviers is picture-perfect. We were there in summer, but thought it would be lovely in winter too, with ski resorts and cross-country trails nearby. Peaceful woodland paths, streams, and alpine views are just steps away, while cable cars and other mountain outings are a short drive. Our kind, responsive host was helpful throughout and shared a local pass that saved us a lot. We wholeheartedly recommend Chalet Grouse and hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
