We only needed somewhere to sleep for two nights, and this was just right. The room was simple, as described, but pleasant. Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d recommend the Chasa if you want a straightforward stay in a beautiful part of Switzerland.

Roger was still outside to greet us even though we arrived quite late, and he was a fantastic host throughout. The rooms were spotless and thoughtfully designed, and I’m still thinking about breakfast: fresh bread, jams, eggs, and coffee. The hotel made a great base for eastern Switzerland and the Swiss National Park, about a 20-minute drive or train ride from Zernez, the park’s gateway. Can’t wait to come back!

Ardez is a picturesque little town with wonderful valley views and several mountain hikes nearby. Our studio was cozy and comfortable, with a kitchenette, seating area, and bathroom. There’s a grocery store close by, so we could make all our meals, though the hotel restaurant is across the street too. Nights could be noisy with the windows open because the railway and a busy road run by the town. The church also rings every quarter through the night, so light sleepers may struggle.

We were warmly welcomed, and the service was thoughtful. The small B&B belongs to the hotel next door, where they serve a generous, good breakfast and excellent dinners for boarders at fair prices. Our room was quiet and clean, with everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Pets are welcome, the bathroom has underfloor heating, and the breakfasts were excellent. The owner and staff were super helpful and kind, and the location was great. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
