Hotel Eremitage

We came away with an unforgettable trip, and send our love from Australia. It’s a peaceful little hotel in a fairytale town, with kind, helpful hosts. The Goetheanum, two ancient castles, hill views, and plenty more to see are all within walking distance. Our room was clean and tidy. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, served by friendly staff, with peaceful views from the window. The nearby church bells added even more to the experience.

The surroundings are beautiful, with lovely views from this spot on the outskirts of Basel. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful, especially Mr. Mark. If you’re visiting Basel, this is a must go.

The room was just adequate in size, and there wasn’t complimentary water. Drinks in the fridge were very expensive. There’s no ironing option, though the staff let me use their staff room to iron my shirts. The owners and the rest of the staff were excellent, friendly, and caring, especially the woman at the restaurant. They also explained late check-in clearly so everything would go smoothly. I appreciated that they took my feedback seriously and confirmed by email. I’d like to try the hotel again and see how they’ve acted on it.

Lovely surroundings, and things are kept simple. Breakfast is great, with fresh bread, croissants, and rolls. Granini Grapefruit juice is always a good way to start.
