Gasthaus zum Bauernhof

That bed was soooooo comfy, and the rooms were very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay really enjoyable. We also loved the delicious food and the character of the place. Would definitely stay again and recommend it.

We ended up spending part of our trip swinging and enjoying the view on the swing beside the hotel. Kids and adults can use it. There’s also a little balcony at the front where you can sit with tea or beer and watch the sunset. After lunch, the owners mostly leave, so we had the beautiful building and its lovely halls to wander around, sit in, and enjoy the views. We even walked about 10 minutes uphill along the road by the hotel and saw the most beautiful sunset ever. The owners were so nice, helpful, and pleasant to talk with, and the staff did a superb job. The hotel is easy to get to Zurich from, though we spent more time relaxing there than visiting the city, which was the original plan. Our room was beautiful, very large, and had a lovely view. The whole hotel was extremely clean, the cleanest I’ve seen so far. Breakfast was small but delicious, and we loved it. The room and hotel were so beautiful and nice. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I highly recommend it.

The restaurant deserves a visit. We chose the full menu and weren’t disappointed, and the homemade bread was a lovely addition to dinner. There’s also a good wine list. We had a great time at Gasthaus zum Bauernhof in May 2023. It’s a real gem about 20 minutes from Zurich center, with old charm and modern functionality. Our room was spacious and clean, the decor was comfy, and parking was easy. The big terrace was another nice feature.

The staff were extraordinary and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Breakfast was great, and there was plenty of parking. I stayed one night while the restaurant was closed, so I took a pleasant stroll to a nearby Italian restaurant instead. The hotel was very comfortable, renovated with convenience and details in mind. I’d stay again when I’m in the area.
