The room was tidy and spacious, with a spectacular mountain view. The reception was really friendly, and having a good variety at breakfast was a nice plus.

I had a terrible experience. The owner greeted me with harsh hostility at check-in, shouting "Ausweis!" at me, meaning "ID!". It felt like a prison camp. At first he wouldn't let me check in because my colleague had made the booking. The place looks grim and run-down, like it hasn't had investment for decades. The carpets are worn and the paint on the walls is fading. My room was no better: the heaters weren't enough to keep me warm in winter, the shower gel and soap had been watered down, and the Wi-Fi in top-floor rooms dropped out every 1-2 seconds because the signal didn't reach. The cheap bedding gave me static shocks. It also smelled funny, and after one night I was very itchy, scratching myself like crazy. CHF200 a night is insane for what you get. A comparable AirBnB costs half as much and is unarguably a better choice. I very clearly wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We had a delicious, fresh grill platter for dinner, and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean, and the workers were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh, with more food options than we expected, and we enjoyed eating in the beautiful garden. We'd gladly come again!

The antique interior was just what I love, and the hotel was very nice and clean. The breakfast buffet had lots of options. I also ordered a grilled steak for dinner and it was fantastic. The garden was beautifully decorated with flowers and plants, and the workers were kind and helpful. I'll gladly come back next year!

The owner was extremely friendly even though we don't speak German. I really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.
