Dorint Parkhotel Bad Zurzach

I was worried at first that the old-looking exterior meant I'd be disappointed, but the clean room and great service made it worth the price. The staff were nice, and the entrance to the thermal baths was a huge plus. Breakfast was the weak spot: not much choice, and the staff seemed very busy.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Communication with Mr. Robert W., the Cluster General Manager of Dorint Parkhotel Bad Zurzach, was very poor. That kind of behavior doesn't belong at a four-star hotel.

The three-course dinner was so small after a full day in the water that we ended up eating a second dinner in our room. Still, the staff treated us like royalty, and they were very good with children. The thermal water center is amazing and worth visiting, though we found it hard to get back to the hotel afterward. It's a place we'd return to. Five stars.

Therme Zurzach is directly connected to the hotel underground, which makes getting to the thermal pools, saunas, steam baths, and wellness treatments easy. The hotel also has its own saltwater indoor pool and brine bath. The setting is quiet, in parkland near the Rhine and the Swiss-German border, and the gardens are lovely for a stroll. There are 109 rooms and suites, many with garden-view balconies. The recently refurbished property feels elegant and comfortable. I also liked the free minibar, espresso machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and welcoming #HotelHeroes staff. Food is another strong point. Park View Restaurant serves seasonal Swiss and international-Mediterranean dishes, while Terrace Garden Restaurant is more relaxed. Piano Café & Bar has drinks and live music. For work events, there are flexible conference and banquet spaces with AV equipment for up to 130 participants. It works for business or leisure, and offers a relaxing stay with wellness, comfort, and Swiss hospitality.
