The stadium is really close, and the owner was very nice. Breakfast was better than what I've had at some hotels. The only catch was that the bathroom was down the floor, not included in the room. Thanks for a lovely stay.

For the February event at St Jakob Hall, I was hoping to stay here. I understand prices are up to the hotel, but asking 404 CHF for a night is hard to justify when it usually costs around 100-150 CHF. The event ends late, leaving people with no way to get back the next day. That feels simply wrong.

The hostess was so pleasant and explained what we could do there, and she gave us a Basel guest card. Getting into the city was easy, with public transport close by, even though the place isn't in the center. We slept well: the house was warm, the mattresses were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite our worries about the trains. Breakfast was reasonably priced, too.

The hostess is genuine and straightforward, and I had lots of laughs with her. I'd happily return. There's plenty to eat at breakfast, and they even made a fresh fried egg when I asked. The bathroom was spotless, which matters a lot to me. Rooms are spacious, the terrace is lovely, and the furnishings make the place feel like home, with little details to notice each day.

The rooms are beautiful and the beds comfortable, with a delicious breakfast in the morning. The hostess was friendly, too. St. Jakobspark and St. Jakobshalle are about a five-minute walk away, and public transport into town is easy to catch.
