B&B Hotel Basel

Christian at the front desk made arrival easy, helped quickly, and gave the stay a warm start. My room was quiet, with good sound insulation from both the corridor and outside, so I slept easily. The bed was supportive, the room clean, and the spotless bathroom had a strong, steady hot shower. I skipped breakfast but looked over the buffet, which had plenty of variety and looked fresh. The price seemed fair if you pay at the entrance. Good value, and I'd stay again without hesitation.

We arrived at about 10:30 p.m. for one night, and the English-speaking reception staff gave us a lovely welcome. Since it was our first time in Basel, they shared lots of useful information for enjoying our visit and getting to Colmar the next morning. We also received a free transport pass. The bar downstairs was pleasant, and we enjoyed a much-needed beer there. The bedroom was small but very clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed, white linen, and everything we needed. It was very warm, though the thermostat didn't cool it much when we tried turning it down. Maybe that was just us! Breakfast had a good selection, and checkout was easy. Transport links are convenient. We'd definitely recommend the place and stay again. Thank you!

There was barely room for our luggage in the extremely small room. I also thought the value was poor, with extra charges for the city tax, parking, and other basic services. The hairdryer was filthy and smelled horrible when switched on, so it was unusable. A disappointing, uncomfortable stay, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The staff were friendly, and both the room and toilet were clean. The room was a little small but worked well for a short visit. The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop, and they gave us a free transport guest card that could still be used after checkout to get to the airport. I had a very good stay.
