BLOOM Boutique Hotel & Lounge Basel

The room was dim even with the lights on, since the bulbs were weak. It was cold, too, and turning on the heating didn’t do anything. I also found the layout awkward: the sink and its things were in the bedroom, while the bathroom had only the shower and toilet. There wasn’t an outlet by the bed or bedside table, just one in the far corner, so when my alarm went off I had to cross the room to get my phone.

The staff were friendly, but the rooms are small and there’s no air conditioning. In summer it felt claustrophobic and I slept badly. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, I’d look elsewhere.

A cute little boutique hotel close to lots of restaurants and the Messe Basel exhibition center. The room was small, which seems typical for European cities, but it got uncomfortably hot since there’s no air conditioning.

Staff were friendly and really helpful, and the bathroom was clean and nice. The rooms were very clean and a good size. We got one with a bunk on top, which looked fun and unusual. We didn’t hit our heads getting up at night, but it seemed like that could happen. The hotel itself was cute and different, and it’s in a great spot for getting around town. Good value for the price we paid.
