The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly, though they only speak Italian. The location is great, right by the train station and historic town centre, and it was cheap. But the whole building smelled, and the rooms were very smelly too. The towels were the worst, like a dog had peed on them, so we threw them out on the balcony.

You have to find street parking yourself and pay the usual fees. We looked at three different rooms, and one smelled of sewage. The building stinks of bug spray. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families; it feels more like a place for backpackers to stay one night.

The bathroom was clean, the owner was nice, and the place is very central with an okay price. But the bed linen smelled, and the pillows were so bad that we slept without them because the smell made it hard to breathe. Traffic outside was loud, and the room was hot and stuffy even in September, so we had to leave the windows open. We ended up with a sleepless night. I'd pay 20-50 CHF more for somewhere better where you can actually sleep. At 9 or 10 pm, there was nobody at reception to ask for a change.

There was no way to rest here. You could hear everything from the other rooms, and one man kept shouting at night. The owners said sorry in the morning and nothing more. The sheets were old and uncomfortable, and the shared spaces were filthy and smelled of cigarettes. After 8pm there's no reception, and check-in is handled by a man who lives in the building. What an awful place. Not recommended at all.
