From the housekeeping team to the rest of the hotel staff, everyone was friendly and smiling. Even a quick chat with them lifted our mood. We stayed two nights, and while carrying our bags up to the third floor was a bit of work, the spotless, cozy room made it worth it. The window looked out toward the mountains, including the Matterhorn.

Betteralp is the most beautiful village I've ever visited, and this hotel is a lovely gem, with a clean room and warm hospitality. Getting there takes a 15-minute walk from the cable car station, since the village is car-free unless you hire transportation. The path is paved and the scenery is breathtaking, though. If your suitcase isn't too heavy, it's definitely worth staying here.
