The späzli with cheese and bacon is the winner. A great place to stop for lunch while skiing.

The food wasn’t even that good, especially after waiting more than an hour for a simple dish. At home, the same thing takes 20 minutes at most.

We went for dinner, and my wife and I were pleased with every part of the meal. The Cordon Bleu Klassich was probably big enough for two, but we also tried the venison, which was in season in early October.

The terrace was a lovely place to unwind after a hard day of hiking, with beautiful views and the evening sun. Since it’s away from the centre, it felt very peaceful. I had dinner there three nights in a row, and the friendly, lovely staff made each visit pleasant. The cordon bleu menu kept bringing me back, and on two evenings someone local played the alphorn. Easy to recommend.

Walking, lovely weather, great views and a great town, with a great hotel too.
