Panorama Hotel & Restaurant

We loved our well-maintained room. It was cozy and spacious, though being on the ground floor made it feel a little less private and somewhat unsafe since someone could climb in through the window. That was a very minor concern, and we felt secure the whole time we were in Switzerland. The host and the reception and restaurant staff were all very friendly and always smiling. We tried lamb in Zermatt and Chur, but the lamb at this restaurant was the best!

We ended up eating at another hotel restaurant, where the staff treated us respectfully. At this restaurant, the waitress was unfriendly and aggressive, mocked what we ordered, and kept pushing us to buy more dishes than we wanted. It felt like her focus was just on making more money. If you go, apparently each person is expected to order an appetizer, main course, dessert, a drink, and maybe more. We only wanted a meal, and our order seemed ridiculous to her.

We stayed right in the town centre, and the room was clean, spacious, modern, and nicely styled, a proper hotel room. The receptionist was friendly and suggested hikes that suited us. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy, and we could leave our luggage in the lobby after checking out so we could do more activities. The restaurant was full even in low season, so booking ahead is a good idea. The staff were warm, smiling, and happy to chat, and the owner came around to talk with everyone. It felt friendly. The food arrived without too long a wait, and the lamb may have been the best we had on our trip in Switzerland.

The apple strudel was the reason we stopped after seeing the sign, and it really was that good. We had some hot wine too, and the server was lovely and helpful. A nice way to finish the day, and the fries were delicious as well.
