Hotel Alte Post

Our five days at Hotel Alte Post were outstanding. The room was a lovely size, the beds were very comfortable, everything was exceptionally clean, and breakfast had an excellent selection. The staff made our stay enjoyable from check-in through checkout, and the son even helped us, as wheelchair users, get our luggage to the station. Thanks so much. I'd gladly book Hotel Alte Post again and recommend it.

I've stayed here twice in the past year, and both visits were a pleasure. The setting is peaceful, and I enjoyed running along the nearby paths to the river in the morning. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant were superb, too. The rooms have lovely furniture and thoughtful touches, and the staff are professional, kind and welcoming. I arrived in a special vehicle that needed secure parking, and Mr.John found a great, well-protected solution for it. With the warm, distinctive design and excellent service, it's very good value. I highly recommend it.

The rooms were spacious and well kept, with no complaints from me, and it was only a 5-8 minute walk to Bonaduz train station. The interior was clean and inviting, though not luxurious. Bonaduz itself was quiet and quaint when we arrived on Saturday. The service rating lost a star because on Sunday we were given a little bag with a cold, rather hard sandwich, an apple and a drink packet for breakfast. Apparently the hotel wasn't staffed that day. I'm not sure if that's normal in Switzerland. Everything else was good.

My husband's family came from Australia and stayed for about a month. The staff and facilities were excellent, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They looked after all of us, even when we visited for the day, and were exceptional with his family. The restaurant food was incredible, the rooms were spotless, and the service was phenomenal. I'd highly recommend staying here or coming by for dinner if you're in the area.
