Hotel Mulin by Amanthos

The building could use some attention from the outside, especially the windows, but it didn't spoil my stay. Inside, my recently renovated room was modern, clean, and a good size, and the bathroom was up to date too. I was there on a business trip and arrived in the early evening. A staff member on her very first day welcomed me so warmly and attentively that she set the tone for the whole visit. Her genuine hospitality made a real difference, and it helped me look past a few small organizational hiccups. There’s a small bar with a relaxed feel in the evening. Breakfast was decent, with regional items such as local cheese, though the buffet wasn't huge. The pastry was the one letdown, dry and seeming rather stale. The receptionist also served breakfast the next morning, which may explain the organization, but it was still a shame. I was very satisfied, especially with the warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere. A friendly, uncomplicated place to stay in Brigels.

The rooms were excellent, clean, modern, and really comfortable. We were there for a work installation, and on arrival the receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, showing us to our rooms. It all started off so promisingly. The following morning was a different story. We'd clearly agreed the night before that breakfast would be at 9 a.m., but when we arrived, the receptionist spoke to us very rudely and asked why we were still there. That's no way to talk to paying guests, and it certainly didn't feel customer-friendly. It's a shame for such a lovely hotel, but that treatment has put us off coming back.
