We loved every minute of our stay, though two nights felt too short. The hotel is right by the lake with spectacular views, and the rooms are modern, clean, and air conditioned. It’s in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, just a five-minute drive from the Italian border. There’s plenty to do nearby, with Locarno and Ascona centers close by.

The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, balconies, and stunning views of lake Maggiore. They also have en-suite bathrooms with showers. We found the hotel very clean, with modern facilities and recent redecorating that still keeps its charm. Breakfast had all the things you’d hope for, including fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, eggs, ham, cheese, fresh bread, juice, and coffee. We booked spontaneously while passing through Ticino and were lucky to find this treasure. It’s a great spot, just a few minutes’ walk from the local Lido and the harbor’s lakeside restaurants. We’ll definitely be back.

I’ll always be grateful for everything Daniela and her husband did for us. They made us feel welcome and took care of all our needs, which made a real difference in a country that can feel busy and cautious toward foreigners. The hotel itself is great too. Daniela, I’m going to miss you!

The view is the finishing touch, but the rooms were clean, breakfast was excellent, and the owners gave amazing service. For me, this is the best hotel in Switzerland, period.
