Winter Residence Al Ponte

We had a group of 15 and were welcomed like family. We’d visited two years earlier, and the owners remembered us. The patio looks across a wonderful valley, and the service was consistently warm, with a smile. I’d been thinking about their gnocchi ever since our last visit, and it lived up to the memory. The views, food, and owners all deserve five stars. Whenever I’m near Lugano, this will be my pilgrimage place.

The restaurant has plenty of options, enough to eat lunch and dinner there for several days without ordering the same dish twice. The view is magnificent and the staff are friendly. I couldn’t find much to fault; perhaps the bathrooms could use windows, though the air conditioning works well. Enjoy your stay!

The room was clean, and the village is small and remote, with a nice view. But the staff weren’t very courteous. It took ages to place our orders, and nobody came by on their own to see if we wanted anything else. We also had to ask for toilet paper because the roll was empty and no spare had been left.

I had to leave early, so they brought breakfast to my room. Nice view and friendly staff. I was happy with the stay!
