The food was good, with a nice variety each evening. Breakfast stayed the same every day, and lunch was a meat or vegan sandwich, which was fine on regular days when we could go elsewhere to eat. On our last day, we got snowed in, and the team helped us out with another night at a slightly lower rate and an hour in the private jacuzzi during the day. It’s a lovely place, and we’ll definitely be back.

The food was such high quality, and it’s a fantastic hotel for a skiing holiday.

The staff are what make this place so special, and they’re the main reason we chose to get married here. From our first contact with the hotel through checkout, everyone was wonderful. They took the stress out of the day, did everything we asked, and then much more. Our families and friends had only good things to say about the people in reception, the kitchen and bar, those setting up chairs, helping with electronics, and assisting guests. Every one of them was fantastic. The food was exquisite, like what you’d expect at a 5-star hotel. I’d especially recommend the vegetarian lasagna and meringue dessert. When the weather is clear, the views are breathtaking, and the restaurant’s 360-degree panorama makes dinner a splendid experience. An amazing place.

Getting there is a bit of a mission, but the payoff is enormous. The hotel sits in its own secluded part of the mountain, so it’s easy to disconnect and take in the scenery without interruption. You can enjoy it from the open terrace, the huge restaurant window while sitting by the fire, or your room’s private balcony. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed, with a priceless mountain view from the balcony. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything. They worked together like a big family. The food was an absolute masterpiece. We arrived on Wednesday, fondue night, and it was one of the best I’ve had. The next two evenings brought delicious, varied menus too. Favorites included the goat cheese focaccia, pork belly with quinoa, and the French "pain perdu" with the chef’s twist. I also liked the hotel’s ecological approach, which didn’t lower the quality of the experience, and its support for local suppliers through local food and drinks. This was one of my best experiences, and I can’t recommend Hotel Plein Ciel enough. For a little while, we really were "over the sky."

Such a wonderful place to stay, especially if you’ve come to the mountains to ski. The view is fantastic, the staff are welcoming and friendly, and the food is fresh and delicious.
