Bogentrakt - Hostel

It was easy to walk from here to the train station and cable car, with plenty of restaurants and shops along the way. The rooms felt new and were very clean, though the style is quite minimal. I wished there were at least a shelf or cubby for clothes. The front desk answered all my questions, but didn’t volunteer help beyond that.

The hostel sits in Chur’s old city, among lovely walking paths, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station. My room was one bed in a four-person room, but there are lots of places around the hostel to relax or work. It’s a cosy, atmospheric spot with clean rooms and friendly staff.

The hostel’s location is lovely, with good views and an easy walk to local museums, the city centre, and the train station. I had a good stay and would come back. The room was spacious, clean, and well arranged, with privacy curtains, lights, and charging ports for each bed. The communal rooms had a lot of charm and played up the historic prison theme. One awkward thing: on our floor the shared shower was right by the communal kitchen, so you could hear everything through the walls. The bathroom lights were automatic and kept going off while I was showering.

We had a private room and stayed one night before heading to the ski resorts. The place is a former prison in Chur’s Old Town, and it was very clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and focused on good service. Thank you.
